“And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good…”
— Genesis 1:31a (KJV)
God is not to blame for the problem of evil. He created a perfect world, a world that was “very good.” It became corrupt because His command was rejected (see Gen. 2:16, 17; 3:6).
Each time we go down the wrong path it’s not because we can go no other way, but because we have chosen it. And that choice leads to trouble, adding more suffering to a world littered with sin.
It’s not God’s fault that our poor choices have gotten us into a mess. Rebellion against His commands drove us here.
Don’t rely on your own understanding, but seek God. Not only will He reveal what is good, He will give you strength to walk in it. Obey the commandments of God, and do not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.
God doesn’t give commands without good reason; it is for our benefit to obey Him. God’s ways are best.
