Words of Encouragement for a Troubled Heart
1 Peter 4:12-13 Beloved, do not be surprised when you go through fiery trials, as though something strange were happening to you; rather, rejoice, because these things prove you are partakers of Christ’s sufferings. Be of good cheer; you have something wonderful to look forward to, for at the revelation of His glory you will be exceedingly joyful!
Isaiah 40:28-31 Have you not known or heard that Yahweh, the everlasting God and Creator of all the earth, does not faint or ever become weary? Indeed, His understanding is inexhaustible! He gives strength to the weak, and power to those who have no might. Even the youth will faint and be weary, and utterly fail; but those who wait on Yahweh will receive new strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run, and not become weary, they will walk, and not faint!
Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that He could not be trusted, nor an unfaithful son, that He would go back on His word. If God has said He will do something, will He not do it? If He has made a promise, will He not fulfill it?
Psalm 6:1-7 O Yahweh, do not rebuke me in Your anger, or chasten me in Your wrath. Have mercy on me, O Yahweh, for I am weak. O Yahweh, heal me, for my bones are shaking with fear, and my soul is greatly dismayed. How long, O Yahweh, must I live like this? Return, O Yahweh, and deliver my soul from this anguish. Save me for Your mercies’ sake. For in death there is no remembrance of You. Who could give you thanks in the grave? I have become weary of my groaning. While lying in bed at night, it is as though I were swimming in a pool of tears. My eyes full of grief, for my enemies have worn me out.
Luke 12:32 Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Isaiah 41:13 For I am Yahweh your God, I will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Fear not; I will help you.’
Isaiah 43:2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; neither will the flame kindle upon you.
Jeremiah 29:11-13 I know how I feel about you, says Yahweh, My thoughts towards you are peaceful. I do not want to cause you harm, but desire to prosper you—to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call on Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me, and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.
Psalm 6:8-10 Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity! For Yahweh has heard my cry for help; He has heard my supplication, and will answer my prayer. Let all my enemies be ashamed; and let them be greatly dismayed. Indeed, they will suddenly turn back in shame!
Proverbs 3:5-7 Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. Acknowledge Him in everything you set out to do, and He will direct your steps. Do not be wise in your own eyes, but fear Yahweh, and depart from evil.
Psalm 27:14 Wait on Yahweh. Do not give up, but persevere, and He will strengthen your heart. Wait on Yahweh.

I need to know God much”am a praise and worship team leader, sometimes am weak with doing the work of God,remember me in prayers,GOD BLESS YOU!
Always remember brother Chris that God is our refuge and strength, a present help in times of trouble. Hebrews 4;15 says” For we have an high Priest who cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but was in all points tempted like as we are,yet without sin. Verse 16 tells us to come boldly to the throne of grace and that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Your help is as nigh as your prayer of faith. I stand in agreement with you to overcome those short comings in Jesus name….Amen
i have something to say and it is about patience. see, that thing really works and i think when we are able to wait and pray, God will answer us in His own time. i have a testimony to that and i am convinced that God truly hears us when we pray.

Don’t be discouraged, my friend. The first step to getting your life in order is recognizing your need for God. Cast you cares on Him, and He will give you rest.
Continue to read your Bible regularly, open your heart to God in prayer, and surround yourself with other brothers and sisters in Christ.
God bless you.
Chilli, hope you are doing better and feeling stronger! God is faithful even when we are not. He is compassionate and slow to anger. He is the best Father. He loves you!
Have a peaceful, joyful day!

Really the words encouraged me alot. I love to be having them all the time so that I should not fall apart because of the troubles in life.
I am really encouraged by these words. I know My Father in heaven has heard my prayers. And I trust that all is surely well with me. Amen.
Please pray for me. I am 66 yrs old & have been saved since I was 12, but in all this time I have never known such a dark, lonely time. For the first time in my life I have been suffering depression, despair & hopelessness that I cannot seem to overcome. My family is suffering because of it & I need to be strong for them. I know God’s word and His promises to me and I cling to Him and His word. My brothers & sisters in Christ & my pastor pray for me, but it seems no one really has a real understanding and I feel so completely alone. I desperately need a breakthrough. Bless you all!
Donna, I have prayed for you. I hope these feelings will be lifted from you soon, and that you will be filled with the peace of God.
Sometimes, how we feel has a lot to do with what we’re putting in our body. I can’t say for sure what’s going on with you, but there’s a series of videos that you might find to be helpful.

Am a sinner and I have asked God to forgive me but am not sure I am forgiven because I do those things I wish not do. Help me, am confused!
Your statement reminds me of something Paul said, “For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing.” (Romans 7:19 ESV)
Indeed, even the apostle Paul struggled with sin! Every believer does. But notice how he said he hated to do evil. That’s the difference between a person who is sincere in wanting to draw closer to God, and those who aren’t. Those who are sincere hate to do evil, but those who are not sincere take pleasure in it. So while it may be true that someone has temporarily gotten of course by giving in to temptation, it doesn’t mean he is lost.
Just because you struggle with sin, it doesn’t mean you are lost, or that God hasn’t forgiven you of past sins. It simply means there is work yet to do in your heart to purify your mind. It doesn’t mean you don’t have a relationship with Jesus.
In fact, your concern about these things evidences that you want to walk with God. Thus, you are on the right path. Those who aren’t concerned about the condition of their hearts are in danger, because they don’t know Jesus. If they knew Him, they would hear His voice. They would know that they should turn from their evil ways and allow Him to lead their lives. But they don’t care, because they love their sin more than God. They don’t hate doing evil, but take pleasure in it.
Listen, my friend, God has begun a good work in you, and He will complete it, that is, if you continue to believe in Him (see Philippians 1:6). Remember, the work of sanctification (process of being made holy) is the work of a lifetime. It could take years to overcome certain types of sin. What’s important is that you recognize where you are messing up, confess your sin to God, and move forward in obedience to His word. It’s not your works that will save you, but God’s grace (see Ephesians 2:8-9). Yet, those who access God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ will strive to walk in holiness (see Ephesians 2:10). They won’t attempt to use God’s grace as a license for sin.
The good news is that we have assurance that if we confess our sins to God, He will forgive us (see 1 John 1:9). That means you don’t have to live in worry and guilt. Instead, cast your cares on Jesus. Do the best you can to live right before God by meditating on His word daily, praying regularly, and putting what He has taught you about His love into practice.
Open your heart to Jesus, and He will purify your life.
God bless you.

I was looking for some words of encouragement today because i was rejected. I was told NO. Not that i hadn’t been rejected before because i have but this was a little different. It was different because it took alot of courage for me to ask to begin with (fear ) i don’t know why but when i did i was refused. One of my biggest problems is that i concern myself too much with what others will have to say if i fail at something. Another thing i’ve noticed about myself is that when i study the word and read comments like these i get choked up… It touches me in a way that i can’t explain.I know wht it is and i’m glad HE’S there. I’m changing. I’ve changed and it feels good to walk closer with HIM. I was driving yesterday and i heard the most beautiful song. it was Mary did you know ? I just cried as i pictured the story. Tell me GOD ain’t working on me. Please pray for me GOD bless you all…!
