What You Don’t Know

Some say, “What you don’t know won’t hurt you.” That couldn’t be further from the truth! What you don’t know could cause substantial harm to you! Walking through life with a blindfold on isn’t going to make it easy for you to cope with your problems. It’s only going to make things worse. No doubt, it could be painful to face the truth at times, but ignoring the facts could lead to greater pain.

I would rather be aware of those unpleasant realities and learn to cope with the problems associated with them, than to live a lie and not be able to identify the source of my trouble. You can’t overcome what you aren’t aware of; but when you know the source of your trouble, you can take measures to avoid it.

Therefore, knowing is better than being ignorant, for knowledge leads to solutions while ignorance creates more problems. And where there are solutions, there is hope for healing.
