Walking the Walk

these people draw near to Me with their mouths, and honor Me with their lips, but they have removed their hearts far from Me… (Isaiah 29:13)

There are a lot of people who say they believe in God, but do not know Him. They think they are serving Him, but do not see that they are only serving themselves. If you are not walking the walk, then do not expect God to bless you. God does not reward bad behavior.

How many times have people come to you expressing a need and you had the means to help, but chose to keep it to yourself instead? How many times have you said you would be there for someone, but when the opportunity came for you to prove it, you were not there? How many times have you asked God for forgiveness, but refused to forgive those who have offended you? How many times have you said hurtful things to people, and justified it because they said something you did not want to hear?

You could say you are sorry for these things, but if you continue to live like this are you truly showing God that you are sorry?

Do not expect God to bless you if you are living a self-centered life. If you want God’s blessing, then start living up to the faith you claim to have in Him.
