“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” – John 1:1-5 KJV

Indeed, Jesus Christ ‘was’ in the beginning, but He is also in the here and now. Thus, He is the Word who ‘is’ always there! It makes no difference where you are or what time of the day it is; Jesus is able to lift you up out of the pit of despair and put you on solid ground. He is able to restore your fractured life and mend your broken heart. For He is the Alpha and Omega, an ever-present help in time of need, and the Light that shines in the darkness. Hence He can save to the uttermost!

But are you confident of these things? Are you really allowing Him to be the Light of your life? Have you cast all of your cares on Him, or are you holding back on some point as a result of being doubtful of His love for you? Listen, there’s no greater love than that which He has for you. And if you would fully embrace all that He desires to give you, He will become the joy of your life, forever and ever. Cast your cares on Him; for He cares for you! He’s a lot closer to you than you may realize.
