Jesus never said life would be easy. To the contrary, He said we would suffer for our faith (see John 16:33). But He also said that those who endure to the end will be saved (see Matthew 24:13). The idea of enduring to the end suggests that we will go through many trials. But we aren’t going through them alone. For Jesus promised, “I am with you always, even to the end of the world” (Matthew 28:20). Jesus doesn’t want to see you perish, but desires to give you a more abundant life. For you are dear to Him, so much, that He gave His life for you. You should value Him just as much by living for Him.
Brighter days will come, my friend. You aren’t going through hardship because God doesn’t care, but because He’s growing your faith (see James 1:2-4). God wants you to learn to depend on Him more and more. Let Him teach you what you need to know. Don’t let the woes of the world choke the life out of you, but behold the rainbow of promise God has stretched out before you: “Fear not, for I am with you; nor be dismayed, for I am your God. Surely, I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10). Claim this promise by believing it. God hasn’t given up on you. Don’t give up on Him. Endure to the end. A time of refreshing is coming!
