Passion itself isn’t what makes prayer acceptable to God. People can be passionate about many things, either good or bad. It’s an earnest desire for God’s will to be done within our lives that makes our prayerful utterances a pleasant sound to His ears. Without that sound, our words are but a clanging symbol.
