For everything that has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world, our faith. (1 John 5:4 MKJV)

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13 MKJV)

Sometimes, I’m tempted to believe I’ll never overcome certain shortcomings. But then I look back on my past, and remember how God gave me victory over sins that no longer have a hold on me. I think to myself, “If God gave me victory then, surely He can give me victory now.” It’s a matter of exercising faith in His power to achieve what’s impossible for me to do on my own. Of course, He can do the same for you, too.

If you fail, it doesn’t mean you have to stay where you are. Don’t look at failure as defeat; rather, learn from it, get back up, and try again. You’ll never make it to the top of a mountain if you stop climbing. Stay the course. Each step will take you higher; it will move you closer to the goal. Don’t lose focus, and don’t try to make it on your own; instead, let Jesus guide your steps. Remember, without Him, you can do nothing, but in Him, all things are possible.
