The Call of Jeremiah

Ten Commandments

Indeed, the book of Jeremiah contains a message that should not be ignored.  For, it addresses issues that many struggle with today.  That is, it addresses the subject matter of hypocrisy and idolatry being present among God’s people, who boasted about their connection with God, but rebelled against Him by not keeping His commandments.  They thought that just because they were linked to His name, that that meant they could do what they wanted with impunity.

However, as a result of their rebellion against God, severe judgment came upon them as God allowed their enemies to overthrow and enslave them as a consequence to their sins. Of course, He gave them fair warning to repent and turn away from their evil ways, but they refused to listen to His warnings.

It would do us well to pay close attention to the lessons that God wants us to learn from their experience, so that we won’t follow in their steps.

Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. (1 Corinthians 10:12 NKJV)

The links that you see on this page are to lessons that I have learned from the book of Jeremiah.  As the LORD leads I will add more.  Please take these messages seriously, and share them with others.  May God give us wisdom to discern His will and instill passion within us to carry it out.

Note: This is not going to be an exhaustive exposition of the book of Jeremiah.  I am only going to address certain passages and disclose how their ideas relate to us, to make it more personal.
