It Shall Accomplish What He Pleases

Look Up

Have you ever tried to tell someone about Jesus and thought that you had failed to be a good witness because your testimony of Him was rejected by that person? Do you feel like a failure because you know the truth while people who are near and dear to your heart don’t know what you know about Jesus?  In other words, do you feel like you’ve failed to do your part to bring them to Christ?

Listen, just because people reject what you have to say about Jesus that doesn’t make you a failure; nor does it mean you did something wrong. Jesus was the greatest teacher who ever walked this earth, and yet He was “despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief…” (Isaiah 53:3)  So don’t feel that you have let God down because you have been rejected or despised by those whom you have tried to reach for Christ.  Their actions don’t represent God’s thoughts towards you.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8-9 NKJV)

You see, it’s not about finding the right method; it’s about following the Lamb wherever He leads you, and knowing that no matter where that is, that is where you need to be. So while we have a responsibility to share Jesus with others, we are not responsible for the choices that they make. What they choose to do with what we give them is between them and God. What matters most is that we do our part in carrying out the work that God assigns to us, and that we continue to trust that He not only knows what’s best, but also knows what He’s doing.  Therefore, plant seeds of truth; but leave the work of convicting and changing hearts to God.

“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:10-11 NKJV)

Leave a comment; but please Praise God in it.
