Pornography – A Destroyer of Lives and Relationships

by Christopher S. Esty on January 28, 2009

As I am writing this I am quite angry and yet sad at the same time. You see, I have encountered a very wicked thing on the Internet—a sin so horrific that it has caused me to become livid!

What is it?  Well, you obviously figured out what it’s about by reading the title of this article.  However, there’s more to it than that; and it’s far worse than you might think!

Deceitful Little Devils

A number of Internet pornography promoters are using Christian terms to lure people into lustful living and sexual immorality. In other words, they are giving their porn infested pages titles or descriptions that are reflective of Christian themes so that they appear to be something that they aren’t in the search results. Of course, they are doing this because they are trying to bypass anti-pornography filters.  Thus they hope to deceive people into believing that it is a Christian site when in fact it is all about porn.

Such people obviously have no integrity whatsoever, as it is bad enough that they promote such trash, but even worse that they do it deceptively! Indeed, they are filled with greed and hatred for God, and are doing this not only because they want to lure you into their web of lust, but also because they hate what you stand for and would like to destroy your faith.

In fact, they don’t even care about children! Think about it: a child or teen could be searching for information about Jesus online and click on one of these links only to be led to a site that will likely burn a sexually explicit image in their minds that could do them great emotional harm for many years to come! And these evil seducers could care less about that!  They are perversely destroying lives and relationships without remorse!

Breaking the Power of Satan over Your Life

Unfortunately, many Christians have already been lured into this heinous sin; and several of them have been involved with this addiction for years—desperately trying to find a way out of it, while feeling helpless inside.

Are you one of them? If so, don’t let this thing rule over you anymore. You can stop it right now by taking hold of the power of Jesus Christ; let Him break the chains that are keeping you in bondage to this sin! He can give you victory if you let Him.

The question however is: how badly do you want it?

Keep in mind that every time you willingly go to one of these sites you are essentially supporting this evil thing. Why would you do that? These people are destroying lives and relationships.  Don’t let them destroy yours!

Take a stand for what is right and stop giving into this sin! You can put an end to it right now! But you have to want victory in Jesus Christ for that to happen. Will you let it happen? Will you let Jesus give you victory over this?

If you want victory then there are two articles that you should read that I believe will help you overcome this addiction (provided that you do what they say).

Please do not take this thing lightly!  The articles that I just recommended for your reading will prove to be very helpful to you if you do what they say!  Don’t let this sin consume you.  Don’t throw the gift of salvation away for trash!  For you could lose your life over this sin!

The Way of the Seductress is the Way to Death

“My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye. Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart. Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman: That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth with her words.

For at the window of my house I looked through my casement, And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding, Passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house, In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night: And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart. (She is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house: Now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.)

So she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face said unto him, I have peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows. Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee. I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved works, with fine linen of Egypt. I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon. Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning: let us solace ourselves with loves. For the goodman is not at home, he is gone a long journey: He hath taken a bag of money with him, and will come home at the day appointed.

With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him. He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks; Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life. Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth. Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths. For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her. Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.” – Proverbs 7:1-27 KJV

“Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.” – Matthew 5:27-28 KJV
