Faithful and True

Indeed, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore, with lovingkindness I have drawn you. (Jeremiah 31:3b)

Are there people from your past whom you once thought of as good friends but now appear to be the opposite of what they were to you then? You had hoped they would be there for you to offer support and encouragement when you needed it most; yet, they remained silent. Ironically, they were there but didn’t notice anything was wrong, because they really don’t seem to be interested in what’s happening in your life. Sad to say, not all friends are true friends.

Don’t be utterly discouraged by those who are insensitive to your needs. Times change, and with that, people also change–some for the better, and others for the worse. Nevertheless, God doesn’t change; He always remains faithful and true to His children, even when they aren’t so kind to one another.

When you’re feeling discouraged, don’t look to unreliable people for support; rather, look up, and know that God cares for you. He will get you through your troubles. Go to Him now. Let Him mend your broken heart and wipe your tears away.
