A lot of people like to collect Christian quotes. Therefore, I’ve compiled a list of some of my own thoughts to share with you. I hope that you’ll find them to be enlightening.
Quotes on Prayer

Sincerity itself isn’t what makes prayer acceptable to God; for people can be sincere about wanting many things, good or bad. Rather, it’s an expression for His will to be done within our lives that makes our prayerful utterances a pleasant sound to His ears.
Prayer isn’t an act of summoning a distant God; rather, it’s a reminder to us that He is a very present help in time of need.
The measure to which we see God’s faithfulness will be determined by how far we allow Him to turn our hearts to His Heart.
Quotes on the Bible

Bible study isn’t a laborious task, but a delightful undertaking.
The Bible shouldn’t be regarded as a book to be read only when things aren’t going well with our lives and we’re looking for a quick fix answer to address our current situation. Instead, it should be regarded as a spiritual road map that leads to the discovery of God’s will and unfailing love for us. Indeed, the Bible will take you on a journey into the heart of Jesus Christ, in Whom you will find true rest for your soul, if you would but believe in the Voice that inspired its writings.
The Bible not only defines who God is, it discloses what it means to love and serve Him, and to be united as a body of believers in Jesus Christ. Hence its writings constitute a way of life and a light for living.
Don’t just look to the Bible for information; study it for transformation, applying its light for living to your own life. Let the lessons that you learn from reading the Bible so fill your heart as to allow their virtues to be echoed in your thoughts, spoken in your words, and manifested in your works. Thus people who don’t know Jesus Christ will discover what it really means to walk with Him, as you make His teachings known in the pattern of your own life.
It’s not enough to read the Bible in a casual way; we must apply its teachings to our lives, and thus allow God to engrave His sacred truths on our hearts.
Quotes on Faith

It doesn’t take a leap of faith to believe in Jesus, but a step in the right direction.
There’s no better place to be than in God’s will, and no better work to perform than that which is ordered by Him.
To walk by faith, not by sight, is to accept God’s plans for your life.
You can expect good things to come from a good God!
If you don’t have Jesus you don’t have much of a future.
To try to secure happiness outside of God’s will is like trying to reach for the stars with a ruler. It can’t be done!
In many cases one doesn’t even have to go that far to carry out the will of God; they just simply need to change the way they look at things.
Quotes on Dealing with Sin

One area where Satan weaves his web of deceit most effectively is in the realm of drama. For by elevating the sensational he benumbs the senses, and thus he captivates the mind with subtle heresies which play on the emotions, thereby luring unsuspecting souls into making moral compromises.
Call sin by its rightful name; make no apologies for doing what God has called you to do. We aren’t here to make people feel good; we’re here to enjoy God’s presence. And no person, no matter how important, should be given ground to stand in the way of keeping us from doing that.
Tell it like it is, but be sure to receive God’s approval first.
God calls us to be lights, not lightning bolts.
Why is it that so many profess to believe in Jesus Christ, but live as though they don’t need to feast on the Scriptures which He lived by and cherished? Why do they ignore the example that He set for dealing with temptation–using Scripture to identify and counter Satan’s attacks? Why do they behave in such a manner as to give the impression that what was good for Jesus really isn’t good for them? It’s because they allow the cares of this world to take precedence over the will of God for their lives, and thus they spend more time doing things that they really don’t need to do while neglecting to do that which is needful to maintain an intimate connection with God. It’s no wonder that they keep falling into the same sins over and over again. They fall into the same sins over and over again because they really aren’t making an earnest effort to walk in Jesus’ steps.
People tend to think more about sin than they do about Jesus, and thus they spend more time focusing their attention on the ‘sin problem’ than they do in looking to its Solution. Indeed, they are missing the point to their purpose in life. For when they ought to be thinking about Jesus they’re thinking about themselves instead. Our purpose isn’t to think about how bad we are, but to experience how good God is. If we aren’t doing that then we really aren’t living life to the fullest.
Quotes on Christian Living

Don’t just live in the moment; gift-wrap it for eternity!
God commands us to be perfect, but not without exercising patience toward our imperfections.
It’s far more productive to learn how to work with and get along with others than to bask in self-conceit and relish opportunities to dictate their actions.
Don’t worry about being a master; seek to be a servant instead, and you will be a blessing to many!
To seek to find pleasure in things that Jesus doesn’t delight in is to walk in darkness, but seeking to delight in what is approved by God is to abide in Him.
Those who desire to do the will of God will be equipped to carry it out.
A voice without the truth is but a noise in the dark.
Love for God is obedience without moral compromise.
It’s not for us to seek to prosper in this world, but to prosper in Jesus Christ.
It’s when the love of God is embraced that we begin to experience the power of Christ. When this happens Christianity is no longer seen as a religion of rules, but as an expression of God’s love for humankind. Hence mere belief is translated to faith as the face of God is beheld in Jesus Christ; and rules that were once perceived to be a threat to happiness suddenly take on new meaning; that is, they become delightful.
Don’t let broken toys break you; don’t let worthless pursuits ruin your soul!
Being a Christian isn’t about looking perfect, but about living in perfect peace with Christ.
What we choose to put first and foremost within our lives will determine the measure of success that is reaped in becoming the blessing that God wants us to be to others.
There is no better place to live than inside God’s will.

Don’t just run the race; take pleasure in being in it.
Oppression isn’t evidence that God is weak or that He lacks love for us; rather, it’s proof that the devil is defeated.
Something good has already happened to you today; you woke up!
Merely giving God bits and pieces of ourselves in service is not enough. We must give Him everything that we’ve got. We must love Him with all our heart!
To believe in God is to believe God.
Quotes on Leadership

You don’t have to be a scholar or a born leader to work for God. The qualifications for godly work aren’t based on personal achievements, but on a sincere desire to live by and uphold the truth as it is in Jesus Christ.
There’s a time to defend what is right and a time to admit to being wrong; a time to stand up for what’s true and a time to sit down and listen to the truth. Unfortunately, many stand up when they ought to remain seated, while few are willing to step up to the plate when the voice of truth is most needed.
We aren’t called to be pacifiers but the salt of the earth. It’s time to get serious about God! We’re standing on the knife’s edge of eternity; the Lord is coming soon! The moral trumpet of warning must be sounded from the rooftops. We must stand up and show the world that our allegiance belongs to Him who takes away the sin of the world, not to those who desire to preserve injustice and corruption. We need to be a voice crying out against sin and hands that are ready to pull sinners out of the fire; we need to be arms that embrace backsliders with the call of love and feet that won’t stop moving until the gospel has reached the world. In other words, we simply need to be faithful to God!
Satan works most effectively to deceive those who don’t ask questions.
Christianity is not a dictatorship, it is the signature of God’s love.
