Dear parents and grandparents, I have something very special to share with you. My wife found a website that provides children with a unique and fun way to learn about God through free online Bible lessons.
Note: these lessons are interactive. So you will need to have broadband (dial up will not suffice). When you visit the site you will see why. It is truly amazing to say the least!
Here’s a testimony from my wife:
“I wanted to find a simple way to help my son understand God’s love. I tried different ways, and although my son can grasp a little bit of who Jesus is, I felt that it is not enough. As a parent, I worry about how my son will grow in a world where there is so much hate, tension and worries of every day life. I feel that if he will learn to value the Bible, then he will be able to face life’s challenges knowing that he is serving a God who can meet all of his needs.
One day I was doing a search on the internet about sermons on-line and stumbled across It Is Written I saw a picture at the bottom of the website that looked like something for kids. So I clicked on the picture and it took me to a website called My Place With Jesus.
My son was playing with his toys at the time and he noticed the ladybug and the music going on. So he sat down beside me and I signed him up for the free lessons. I could not believe what an amazing thing this website did to my son. Every lesson that he finished, with my guidance, made him very happy. He was also excited about telling his Dad what he learned from the lessons. My son remembered about Jesus dying on the cross for our sins and he even remembered the phrase “God’s gift is free…it’s salvation”. I know that word is kind of deep but when I asked Him what it means for Jesus to die on the cross, he answered, “Jesus loves me”.
I would encourage parents to visit this website because it not only helps children learn about Jesus, it helps parents to find time to spend with their children doing something meaningful.”
Here’s the URL to the website: www.myplacewithjesus.com
Blessings to you…
