What is Pleasing to God

What is Pleasing to God

“faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” – Romans 10:17

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” – Hebrews 11:6 KJV

You can’t just put your faith in a place of your own choosing and assume that that’s where God is. There’s a proper place for faith; and God is the only one who has the right to tell us where to put it. True faith in God will result in manifesting works that are pleasing to Him, while presumption will always fall short of His glory.

If we aren’t doing works that are pleasing to God then we really aren’t exercising faith in Him; instead we are leaning on our own understanding. And if that’s the case, then we shouldn’t expect Him to bless us. For God doesn’t reward His children for acts of disobedience; rather, He rewards those who search for Him with all their hearts and obey His voice.
