You can’t just put faith anywhere and say “That’s where God is.” There is a proper place for faith; and unless your faith is where God wants it to be your faith is not in Him, but in something else. In other words, it really isn’t faith at all, but presumption, because it is assumed that it is connected to God when in reality it has nothing to do with Him, but everything to do with leaning on your own understanding. Hence faith really isn’t faith in God unless it results in manifesting that which is pleasing to Him.
“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6 NKJV)
How diligent are you in seeking to do that which is pleasing to God?
