Abundant Living

“Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of Yahweh; and in His law, he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree planted by a river, which bears its fruit in season, and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does, it will prosper.” (Psalm 1:1-3)

The blessed man prospers in everything he does because God goes before Him. You can’t fail if you follow God. For God doesn’t lead His people into failure, but to a more abundant life. It’s when we try to mix our own way with God’s way that we end up failing.

If you want the success that only God can give, then you need to forsake your way and allow Him to order your steps. The blessed life isn’t about becoming worldly wealthy, but about walking in God’s favor. You can’t do that except by being obedient to God.

If you’re following God in hopes to gain worldly pleasures, then you aren’t following Him for the right reasons. He’s not going to give you that, because it leads to death. What He will give you, however, is His hand of friendship. That’s worth more than anything the world could offer.

Walking in God’s presence is abundant living!
